All participants are encouraged to reflect this theme in your float or costumes. Awards are biased on crowd appeal, originality, use of theme & presentation.
PARADE ENTRY INFORMATION for Saturday: July 9, 2016
Parade participants line up at 9AM; Parade starts promptly at 10AM.
CHECK IN at the table located on the corner of W. Sierra x E. School Street
Deadline for group entries is FRIDAY, July 8TH.
Individual entries are welcome to check in on parade day, by 9:30AM.
Parade Staging will occur on E. School Street at 9AM. The parade starts promptly at 10AM. The parade route extends from City Hall to La Plaza Park via E. School Street, W. Sierra Ave., Henry St. and Old Redwood Highway.

*VEHICLES: You are required to submit a photocopy of your vehicle insurance policy with this application.
**HORSE / ANIMAL ENTRIES: You are required to submit with this application a photocopy of liability insurance, which would cover any damage, which an animal of that type might create. Horse Units must supply a Pooper Scooper for each entry and be responsible for their own clean up.
All entries are considered for Best of Parade Award. All entry winners will receive an award certificate of participation; all categories are awarded one prize. Actual prizes and values are subject to the donations received for this event. Judges reserve the right to combine, divide or move categories. Your parade line-up numbers will be assigned upon arrival at 9:00am. The parade route is only a ½ mile long.
Here are some tips for creating your script for the announcer: How many years have you participated in the parade? Is there anything unique about your parade history? Is there anything unique or unusual about this year’s entry in the parade, or about your annual participation? Describe your decorations, costumes, and props. Do you have any unique stories about your entry or how it was chosen or developed? How does your entry relate to the theme? Describe any unusual points of interest about your group, its history, or its participants. List any recent honors or awards your group has received.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DECLINE APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT CONFORM TO THE EVENT THEME AND/OR ARE RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE. NO POLITICAL CAMPAIGNING ALLOWED.
